Aircraft
acquisition
The best aircraft solution lies in the accuracy of the needs’ identification. We will enjoy helping you select the right aircraft type, as if it were our own. Where do you fly? How many passengers? Do you want to charter? There are many questions that are worth asking before making such a big step.
We will review all public and off-market listings to find the most valuable opportunity according to your criteria. What is the seller’s bottom price? Is it in good shape? Where is the hook? We provide you with the essential information you need to make well-informed decisions.
We will arrange a viewing on the aircraft you have selected, whether in-person or via a video call for your convenience. It is the perfect opportunity to connect with the seller, identify any potential concerns, and foster trust that paves the way for a smooth and successful transaction.
Typically from 1 to 6 months. It all depends on your expectations, the specificity of the aircraft and the state of the market.
If you are not an aircraft Guru, you will likely lose some precious time and money by trying to cope with all technical, personal, financial and legal aspects of an international transaction. On top of that, you’ll have to deal with tire kickers along the way. Hiring a specialist that will have your best interests at heart will likely end up being more valuable. Beyond the skills and experience a good broker can bring to the table, it is important to avoid conflict of interest. Hiring someone whose interests may be different than yours (your pilot, operator, maintenance center etc.) may not be the wisest decision if you want your deal to close how it should.
We typically suggest an exclusive representation agreement as the foundation for our collaboration. An exclusive agreement ensures that we are the sole representative hired to find an aircraft for you. This arrangement is advantageous because it aligns our interests with yours, fosters transparency, and demonstrates the buyer’s seriousness to sellers. With an exclusive agreement in place, we can confidently invest our full efforts and resources into marketing, knowing that our endeavors won’t be undermined by another party.
Our commission is based on a flat fee. It is a success fee that will be due only upon successful closing.
Marketing and travel expenses are included, as we invest in promoting your aircraft to sell it.
Legal and tax advice are not covered. Although we have gained practical knowledge and experience over the years, brokers are not qualified to provide legal or tax advice. Our team is happy to collaborate with your preferred advisor or connect you with aviation-experienced advisors to address legal and tax concerns.
Escrow fees are not covered. Depending on the transaction set up, escrow agents can be valuable partners to enhance trust and transparency between parties. The fee is typically shared equally between buyer and seller.
