Manufacturing
a brighter Future

HondaJet recently joined an international technical review panel, which includes the FAA and aviation OEMs, to evaluate the safety of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) and support their standardization. SAF, derived from non-fossil or sustainable raw materials like plants and waste, plays a vital role in achieving carbon neutrality in aviation as it reduces CO2 emissions compared to conventional jet fuel.

As part of its commitment to a sustainable society, Honda aims to achieve carbon neutrality for all products and corporate activities by 2050. In aviation, this involves developing environmentally responsible power units based on gas turbine and electrification technologies, researching carbon-neutral fuels as alternatives to fossil fuels, and exploring carbon capture, utilization, and storage technologies. By participating in the international SAF review panel, Honda is dedicated to advancing and practically applying its technologies to realize carbon neutrality in Honda jets, while collaborating with various companies and organizations worldwide.
